 Why is it important to read current affairs?

1) The Indo-US Science and Technology Forum’s US India Artificial Intelligence (USIAI) initiative was launched.

5) Guru Chemancheri Kunhiraman Nair, the Kathakali actor who also played a significant role in making classical dances like Bharatanatyam popular in north Kerala, died. He was 105.
👉Kathakali is a major form of classical Indian dance. It is a "story play" genre of art, but one distinguished by the elaborately colorful make-up, costumes and face masks that the traditionally male actor-dancers wear.

9) France launched its first military exercise in space this week to evaluate its ability to defend its satellites and other defense equipment from an attack.

12) The Cabinet has cleared a Bill to set up a government-owned development finance institution (DFI) with initial paid-up capital of Rs 20,000 crore so that it can leverage around Rs 3 trillion from the markets in a few years to provide long-term funds to infrastructure projects as well as for development needs of the country.
