 Why is it important to read current affairs?    

Current Affairs refer to the events of national and international importance relevant from competitive exams perspective like Civil Services Exam, Bank exam, etc. With the change in the pattern of examinations, questions related to current events and news have assumed a major role in deciding the fate of students

1) India won gold in the women's 25m Pistol Team event at the ISSF World Cup. 
👉India beat Poland in the final to win the country's 10th gold medal at the World Cup held in Delhi as the hosts lead the chart with 10 gold, six silver and five bronze medals. 
👉The Indian women's team of Rahi Sarnobat, Chinki Yadav and Manu Bhaker beat Poland's Joanna Iwona Wawrzonowska, Julita Borek and Agnieszka Korejwo 17:7 in the gold medal match.

2) Anish Shah, meanwhile, will take over as managing director and CEO of the Mahindra Group from April 2. 
 👉Shah will become the first professional executive to oversee the entire business of the $19.4-billion Mahindra Group.

3) External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will pay an official visit to Tajikistan on 30 and 31 March.

7) Italy has signed the International Solar Alliance under the amended ISA Framework Agreement. The amendments to the Framework Agreement of the ISA entered into force, opening its Membership to all Member States of the UN.

8) Every year, the Earth Hour is celebrated worldwide on the last Saturday of the March month to show support for fight against climate change and commitment towards better planet.

👉The Earth Hour 2021 theme will focus on “Climate Change to Save Earth.”
👉 The Day is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

9) The government has constituted an experts advisory committee chaired by H K Mittal for the overall execution and monitoring of the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme.

10) Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has included Yogasana in Khelo India Youth Games 2021 in a bid to develop it as a competitive sport.
👉Government has also given recognition to National Yogasana Sports Federation (NYSF) for promotion and development of Yogasana in the country.

👉Yogasana sport for both male and female categories have been included in Khelo India Youth Games, 2021.

11) The longtime president of the Republic of Congo is set for another five-year term after getting over 88% of the vote. The election day was marred by the death of his main opponent, Guy Brice Parfait Kolelas.

12) President Joe Biden has invited 40 world leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to a US-hosted virtual summit on climate next month to underscore the urgency and the economic benefits of stronger climate action.
👉Biden will host a two-day climate summit of world leaders starting on Earth Day, April 22, in which he will outline the US goal for reductions of carbon emissions by 2030 -- known as the nationally determined contribution under the historic Paris accord.
